M wife has a 3COM NIC for her laptop that we purchased so that she can has
net access at work. I installed the card/drivers at home with no problems
whatsoever. The head engineer at the radio station where my wife works
called me the next day and said that he needed an ODI driver. I know that
ODI is a protocol developed by Novell for inter-OS communication, but I
don't realize how to install a driver for WIN98 that is ODI compliant.
Would the MS client for Netware networks solve this? I found a help file on
how to install an ODI driver for Win3.1, but it was done in DOS and I didn't
know if doing this would allow her to login in WIN98 or not. I fully
expected the MIS department where she works to handle all of this, but I
suppose they use a consultant or something, because the head engineer I
spoke with didn't have a clue. I am unsure what type of network they use
other than it is a Novell system of some sort with Win 3.1 and 95/98 boxes
on the same network. I know this is vague information, but this has been
left up to me and I am a designer, not a network administrator :) Any help
would be appreciated...
