Hello, I have a Digital Research 24x cdrom connected
to DR sound card IDE controller. The drive is only a year
old. I'm having problems reading cd's. I've checked the
connections and looked for conflicts. I have also cleaned
the lens. Sometimes the drive works, but more
times than others, it does not. It seam's as if the drive
needs a little push to get going. Also, when the drive
spins with certain cd's, It make's a loud vibration.
My question is, could this be repaired, or should I
dump it?
