  Some motherboards offer an "SBlink" connector, usually nestled
between a couple of the PCI slots.  Connecting a PCI sound card to
this connector enables some features that don't work through PCI but
are required for DOS compatibility.  DOes your board have this, and
have you connected it?
  Since Win95 has been around longer than PCI sound cards, odds are
that it won't quite know what to do with such a card.  Do you have
drivers that came with the card?
