Is there a way to preclude Windows from findind new hardware and
attempting tp install drivers fot it.   My computer came wit a DSL
modem installed... I dont have DSL but have cable, so installed a
NIC for the cable connection in a vacant slot... I have tried to
disable the DSL modem in system manager.... but windows just keeps
finding it  when i reboot... Do I have to physically remove the
device... or is it really going to cause any problem if i just leave
it in the machine fully installed..?????
