Too many pronouns here. It's not clear which HD and which PC combination
doesn't work.
Are you trying to boot your computer (What OS?) from the old HD?
Did the Win95 computer boot from the original HD?
Is there any drive overlay software involved?
What are the specs of the Win95 machine?
I've tried to resurrect a few older machines such as you're doing, and
found that it's mostly a waste of time-You end up with an old, slow,
insecure machine that really can't handle today's internet.
You could probably get some use out this computer if you installed some
flavor of Linux.
