Click Start, Run, type "taskmgr" and OK.
Determine which process is using up CPU time on the Processes tab.
You may be able to right-click and end the process from Task Manager.
If not provide the image name for further instructions.

BTW if you connected to the Internet without a firewall prior to installing
all critical patches suggested by Windows Update, you may have been hacked.
If so, just wipe the hard drive clean and start again, and make sure the
Internet Connection Firewall is enabled on your Internet connection next
time.
