Hello,
I was given a Contura 486SX by a friend. When turned on it beeps
twice and dos starts up with no problems. When I type win the 3.1
logo comes on then goes off and then your icons are supposed to
apear but they do not; instead I get a message that the computer
cannot read drive C. If it cannot read drive C how does dos come
up? Also, if I remember a computer should only beep once when
turned on. I also tried to install 3.1 again as an upgrade as it stated
it would leave the drivers and things intact on the drive. It does the
same thing. Need some help. If you need more info, holler back.
