Of course it can, Michael...why would you think otherwise???  The USB port 
is only a connection path; it has no features on its own to prevent transfer 
of data, corrupt or not.

Subject: [PCBUILD] External Hard Drive Virus Question


Can a virus or trojan/malware infection get to an external hard drive that 
is connected to our CPU via a USB port?  Can it "travel" through a USB 
connection?
We have WIN XP Home.
