How can I tell if my sound card bit the dust? My mic won't work, yet when I talke it in to be checked out they tell me it's working just fine. I all of a sudden lost my volume control icon in the system tray also. I'm ready to reload Windows (ME) but don't know if that will change things or not. Last time I reloaded Windows, I had sound for a while but my mic never did work. All these querks make me believe there may be something wrong with my sound card. Can I test it someway to see if it is still good?

TIA
