I would check to make sure the monitor cable connections are secure and 
that the power connection is secure. If the problem persists and you 
have a video card as opposed to onboard video, the video card could need 
to be reseated. If you have onboard video, there could be a problem with 
the monitor or the motherboard.

If you post again, please give some details on your computer and monitor 
makes and model numbers so that more detailed assistance can be provided.
