The refresh rate is the amount of times the image is redrawn. At 60 after
a few hours you can actually see the image being drawn. I believe 72 is
the minimum accepted for eye safety or something like that.

I used to get headaches after a few hours with a monitor I had that could
only do 60. I added one of those glasses for reflection/radiation
protection and it didn't help. The monitor I got now I set at 85 and can
seat for days in front of it with no problem.
