Dean,

Thanks for explaining "Prescott" core. If that core is made for a 478 socket then it most likely is OK for me to use. I think the guy who was selling the CPU put that note in to caution people with 775 sockets. I'm thinking 775 sockets came out first, followed by the 478 socket and then Intel changed the CPU architecture. There may be many more socket 775 MB than 478 socket, hence the note.
