Hi.

Until 5 minutes ago my parellel port was configured as ECP. According to my
HP 7100 CD Writer Manual this setting (or EPP) is required to write at 2x
(300KB/s). But Nero was being unable to burn anything at 2x. So I
benchmarked my port and got 276KB/s maximum.

Then, I went to my BIOS and configured my parallel port to EPP v1.7. The
benchmark jumped to 296KB/s maximum. I also tried EPP v1.9 but it dropped
the performance back to 276KB/s, so I put v1.7 back.

The question is: How can I reach 300KB/s?

Another strange thing: since I left the SPP mode, my Epson Stylus 400 does
not print the entire page numbers (only haf) in Word 97, although the
solution is easy (playing with Word settings) I am wondering, why does it
happens?

Thanks in advance.
