Robert,
I'm in australia, the satuation here may be different at your part of world.
the expensive switch box we use is about A$120 (cheap one is $40), it has two
input ports, one output port. the display quality is pretty good on this box,
but it only support upto 1024*768 resolution. We have option to buy a A$380 box
which has 4 (or 8, i can't remember) input ports and support upto 1280*1024.
but it's too expensive to us.

I believe you should be able to get a reasonalbe price good quality box in US,
you should have better luck than i do.
