If you are using the dual boot that NT sets up on a computer that has Win9x
installed then your primary partition that has Win98 on it has to be FAT 16.
Could that be your problem? There is a work around that I've heard of where
you create a very small fat 16 boot partition but I haven't ever done it.
Maybe someone else can explain that. I'd be interested in knowing how to do
it to. It's a shame having to waste all that space using FAT16.

Subject: [PCBUILD] NT Installation Problem

Hello All,

Just the facts.
Install NT Server 4.00 on my WIN98 hard drive in it's own partition. Want to
have dual boot. Problem: After the installation disc copies all files to HD,
I am prompted to remove any floppy discs and CD-Rom and to press "ENTER" so
that the computer can reboot and continue the install procedure. Computer
reboots, I'm prompted to choose an OS. After choosing NT, "NT DETECTING
HARDWARE" appears and then everything stops and I get this Message "BOOT
RECORD SIGNATURE AA55 NOT FOUND (6C6C) FOUND". I've reinstalled many times,
each time installing NT in its own partition using NTFS or FAT 16 but both
give the same results. Is it my HD????
Any idea's??????????
