Machine A is a 1Ghz Athlon connected to the Internet via coaxial cable.
It has a 56k dialup modem, which is disabled, as it's not in use at present.

Machine B is a p166 without a network card, but it has a 33.6k modem, and was connected to the net for 4
years.

I really know squat about networking, so here's what I was hoping I could do...is it possible to home network
the two machines using just a phone line cord direct from modem to modem? ( I don't need Internet access for
machine B - I just want to be able to play games with my son. )

Both run WinME.

If my idea won't work, what is my next best option? - I have a 10/100 network card I could install in machine
B, so I could go that route if you all think it's a better way to go, and could advise further. Other ideas?
Need more info? Thanks in advance.
