My scanner is connected to the parallel port of my computer on one side
and the printer on the other. The only other thing connected is my external
modem. I don't have a CD writer or any storage device. As for ECP mode, how
do you change that?

I guess I'll have to try reinstall the scanner if I can't fix this error,
but I'd rather not, if I can help it. I had some trouble setting it up in
the first place. But I'll go get JV16 just in case.
