I am trying to install a 14. 4 modem removed from a Compaq Presario
CDS 954 (original installed modem; it has no jumpers) into a 386
machine running Win 3. 1

Neither Comit nor Drmodem nor the Juno install program will
recognize the
14. 4 in the 386. Any ideas on how to proceed?

TIA

Edwin Cohen

There are a number of questions? Is the Juno program one for Win3.1? Did
you uninstall old modem software before installing new modem? Does
Windows recognize new modem? Did you Ping test to verify new modem? Did
you try physically removing new modem and reinstalling?
