i had same problem. i uninstalled norton firewall and everything went back
to normal. i now use computer associates', ez armor antivirus and firewall
protection.

 Hi All.....

I've run across a perplexing problem that I thought I'd run by

y'all....  I've got a couple machines for friends/family I work on that

have developed the exact same problem.....on quite different hardware.

 

Both the floppy drive and the cd drive/burner have "disappeared".  Tried

having them reboot, but still no dice...  The one thing they have in

common is that both machines are running WinXP.

 

Has anybody else.  run across this issue??
