You are going to need to upgrade your motherboard as well.  The Pentium
4 will not fit in the Pentium 3 socket.

How do i remove the pentium chip from my computer without damaging it. i
am putting in a new pentium 4 chip and basically upgrading from a
pentium 3 to 4 so i have 2 remove the pentium 3 chip and put in the
pentium 4 and i need help
