I can vouch for Dennis' choice of LogiTech. I have a LogiTech cordless
optical mouse attached to my Toshiba Tecra 8100 laptop and it works like a
charm.

The laptop is placed relatively close to a desktop system that uses a
wireless keyboard and trackball (both by Logitech) and they all "play
together" nicely -- no apparent interference from the different radio
signals between the 3 components.
