Hi Folks,

I have a PC with 256MB RDRAM and it's the faster type (PC1066) on the 533Mhz
bus. I also have another 256MB of the slightly slower PC800 RDRAM.

My questions are;

1. Will I gain anything by adding the slower RAM?
2. Could I do any damage by adding it as the PC800 RAM would generally be
running on a 400Mhz bus?
3. Would it just mean that all 512MB would then run at the slower speed of
800Mhz even though it would be on a 533Mhz bus?
4. If this was the case would I be better off with just the 256MB running at
1066Mhz on the 533Mhz bus instead?

Does anyone have any information on when we might see 800Mhz FSB's in the
mainstream (without overclocking!)?

Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
Jerry O'Connell.
