You are not using a KVM switch are you ? If not and this is a single PC /
keyboard then it
sounds like either your UPS battery or something in the circuitry isn't
responding fast enough to preserve the keyboard connection.
I would suspect the battery. If possible try it with another UPS and see if
the same thing happens.
