If you have been following the posts about my system crash, you are aware
by now that I have to get a new mobo.

So, my questions are as follows:

1.      Will any Slot 1 motherboard work with a PIII Slot 1 processor?

2.      Can anybody tell me how to get the d**m processor out of that Slot 1
contraption?
It is in something the Gibabyte motherboard manual calls a "universal
retention mechanism & attach mount."
