most monitor works great with standard "plug and play" monitor driver, so
all you have to do is boot into safe mode, change screen to 16 color at
640x480, apply the change and restart computer. now you can boot into normal
mode and change monitor driver back to "plug and play" (you can change it in
safe mode too).
