Most old MB's that have K6's can use a K6-2 or even a K6-III at 400Mhz or better!
The secret is that when the MB's set to x2, the CPU (sharptooth type which is all K6-III and any K6-2 over 400Mhz) runs at x6! But your MB needs to be able to be set no more than .2v over the CPU stated voltage. And if it can be set to 75Mhz FBS you'll have a 450Mhz CPU. This trick works with all newer K6-X, even the 550Mhz.
