Good Evening one and all,

        I have a quick question. I am working on a Globalyst 130 (486 with 20 MB
Ram) running Windows 95. A client recently bought a new battery and it's
not receiving or recognizing the charge. When running from electric power
it say's it's at 100% charge for the first 15 to 20 minutes and then
jumps back to %60 where it stays. When you unplug the power cord
everything goes blank. My only thought is that it could be the connection
that is weak and a cleaning with a rubber eraser would enhance / correct
it enough to allow it to hold a charge and function properly. This is a
trick I learned from radio school and I am not sure if it would be the
wisest thing to attempt in this situation.

I thank you very much for any aid,

William Council
