Hi,

I recently networked 8 HP computers in my classroom. The printer is
connected to one of them. It is a Lexmark 2030 Colorjet. The printer works
on the computer it is connected to. When it was connected to a automatic
switch, it would not print from any computer. Now I've networked them, and
it only prints from the computer it is connected to, not from any of the
other networked computers. I shared the printer, the other computers "see"
it when I "add a printer." But, when I try to test print, I get a message
that says something (sorry, I forgot what it was) that there is a problem
with \\pavilion4\lexmark. It said at one time about "cannot despool." I
tried changing the spool manager from local printer to remote and
designating the spool directory, but nothing works. Is it possible this
particular printer just can't work with any setup other than a direct
connection?

Any input?

Byron Wolter
