Hi,

If you've got the drivers for the sound card I would
go into add/remove programs and uninstall the drivers.
Then go into device manager and delete the soundcard
and re-boot. When the computer locates the 'new'
device reinstall the drivers and see what that does.

I had a sound blaster card that did go bad once and I
just wound up replacing it. But try the
reinstallation before anything else. Hope this helps.

John

For some strange reason my sound card doesn't work.
The device manager says its working fine, but the
sounds and audio devices panel says there is no audio
device installed and when I try to play any sounds it
doesn't work and the system says the sound card may be
in use, but it's not. How can I fix this problem. I
went through the troubleshooting guide and that didn't
help any. I'm about ready to give up and call
creative labs tech support (I have a sound blaster
live).
