Mark,

Just a few questions for you here...

What is your application load on this box?
Have you considered upgrading the memory or CPU for higher performance?
Is there a specific application that you run that requires this platform to
support this?

With the prices you can find anywhere from dell.com to ebay you may want to
consider even replacement of the hardware.

Thanks

Eric

Subject: [PCBUILD] Frozen Mouse Pointer

Whenever I startup the computer, the mouse pointer will occasionally freeze
up and I have to restart it. This is an Ast 486SX/33 processor with 20 mb
of memory and 46.0 mb of hard drive space when not running programs.
video display is set at 256 colors; using the
Windows95 Operating system. I need to
find what is causing this to prevent future problems.
