Recently I had trouble with my computer. First the CD rom drive (I had
just installed a 36X) went down and then the hard drives were inoperable.
I went to a computer shop and they diagnosed that I shouldn't have had
more than one hard drive connected to the one system (I had two hard
drives, both Quantum lightspeed, one was 1.2 gig, the other 2 gig). They
also changed a few faulty connecters.
So they also sold us a 3 gig hard drive to be used instead of the ones
already connected.
I wasn't there when they phoned us with their quote (to see
if they should proceed).I think its a big con, they only had to change the
cables, but my father and brother are up in the air about it.
So, can you have more than one hard drive connected to the system?
(I have a pentium 90, its an old board and it runs off a hard drive
controller card).
