Could somebody tell me why from time to time I've got a computer
that Windows95 crashes? When I reboot in safe mode, I see that in the
Device Manager, most of the drives are listed twice. If I manually re-list
the devices as singles, I can boot again normally.
What does cause this double listing? My systems are normal PCs, Pentiums,
with Win95, and...Iomega external parallel Zip drive. I could suspect the
Zip drivers to be the cause of this bug. I upgrade all Zip softwares many
times and everything goes well for a while , and... just when you dont
expect it,
here it goes again: big crash!!
I could not find help neither at Microsoft, neither at Iomega (that doesn't
seem
to exist anymore, or has been sold to another company!
Technology is moving so fast nowadays, you buy a new device and the next day
the company doesn't exist anymore. No support! We poor consumers, left
with all the trash!
Well, if someone out there has a few hints for a poor consumer's lost soul,
I'd be very happy.
Thanks and best to you all
