Well, I think I will throw an anecdote in.. I have a client that I am
called once in a while to clean or fix her PC. She uses a vastly
underpowered PC with all the hardware onboard the motherboard, so she gets
plenty of lockup problems in Autocad 2000. One day she called me to see a
unusual problem... her husband caught her chating online with another man
(I do NOT get involved!) and he picked up the minitower and smashed it on
the floor and jumped on it several times. She then bought a newer computer
from someone and I was supposed to see if her data survived. The computer
was totalled with the exception of the original Samsung 13gig hard drive.
It installed fine and had no problem whatsoever! Can Maxtor or Western
Digital stand up to this kind of punnishment? Here in Brazil, Samsung is
the cheapest drive available!
