I am looking after a system where the computer and answerphone are on the
same line. Whenever we need to access our ISP we have to clear the recorded
messages in the answerphone machine before we can get the modem to work.
Unfortunately it is not possible to move the answerphone to another line.

I recall somewhere that there is a AT string one can add to the modem that
might get around this problem.

Has anyone experienced this or a similar problem and can suggest some
options to try?

TIA
