a hard drive."

I have gone through the pc build archives for both march 05 and april 05 but do not find any thread for this subject. so i presume you are referring to one of pc tech "how to" articles and have booted up with a boot up floppy.

if i am correct then please remember that with a boot up floppy the cd rom drive letter gets advanced by one letter.in other words if your normal cd rom drive letter is "D" then with boot up floppy it will be "E". some boot up floppies set their own cd rom drive letter.(mostly "X").

so i hope you have specified the correct cd rom drive letter to access your win 98se set up disc. hope this post is of some help just to recheck. have a nice day-- venkat viswanathan
