Hi,

I happen to agree with you. But when he decides to go on to AUTOCAD or
create that 1,000,000
item database, then the P4 would be faster for him. Buy that time,
prices of chips will be down and he can swap the p4 for the celeron....
Just make sure it's a Socket N celeron and not a Socket 370 one.

Thanks and have a Great Day!

Does anyone have any opinion on getting a DELL with a Celeron chip vs. a
Pentium 4, if the purpose of the PC is for email, web surfing, word
processing and keeping track of finances. I am advising this person he
will not notice any difference except in price. Am I right?

Thanks,
Ira Wallin
