Windows XP won't let you backup directly to cdrom
in several programs.
Some that I know of are - excel, quicken, quickbooks .
You either have to save to your hard drive then to cd,
or point the save dialog to the windows xp cd burning folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\CD Burning.
put your username without the quotes where it says "username" above.
Just a little quirk in the adaptec cdburning software
built into winxp I guess.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Backup problem


Hi People, can some one tell me if their is a work around that will enable
me to backup my MS Money 2002 files. In the options files it will only let
me set up to backup to "A" floppy drive. I want to be able to backup to my
"D" CD-RW drive, I can not change the "A" to "D".  Help! Machine is a Dell
4500 PIIII 2.0G,  256mg,  NEC DVD+RW \CD-RW Drive w\Windows XP Home. TIA
