Prior to reformatting my hard drive my Intel ProWireless 2100 card for my notebook was working fine. Since reinstalling the OS, WinXP Home, and drivers for the card whenever I turn on the radio and try to connect, always from the same location as when it was working correctly, the computer locks solid and has to be forced into a shutdown. I have obtained three other versions of software for this card from Intel but they all, including the drivers that came with the card, have the same driver version number as determined by Intel's connection ID tool. Windows configuration for network settings has been turned off as suggested. Idea's anyone?
