you will probably have to disassemble the drive to remove the slider
with out misaligning the drive "heads". Floppy drives usually pop
apart fairly easily.
The drive may be damaged already, but it's worth a try.
Worst case senario a new drive for around $20

As an aside, I got a call last week on a stuck "floppy"
turned out to be a cd stuck very securely in a 5-1/4" floppy drive.
had to take off the drive cover to remove it.
The drive, the cd, and the owner all survived the ordeal.
