Susan:
I replaced an aging HD last winter with a new Maxtor drive (retail version,
not OEM). The setup disk included a program that moved everything from the
old drive to the new one; it worked very well. Other drive manufacturers
probably have a similar utility, either included with the drive or available
from their website.
