Yes, the Diamond Monster II is a great VooDoo II add-on for any card.  It
would also make a great companion to the STB Velocity 4400, with the Monster
handling Glide/VooDoo and the STB handling OpenGL.  (Keep in mind, however,
that the STB is a dinosaur since 3dfx bought STB to market the VooDoo III
exclusively themselves...)
