I have the same mobo!  I have the 2000xp chip and I had no promblems with
getting up and running.  Also I did not change any of  the settings on the
mobo either.  I tried running my chip at 166mhz and it would not let me boot
either.  So I really don't know the answer to your promblems I am curious my
self on why it won't let us boot up with that setting set at 166.  Brett,,,,
