Good Afternoon

If you are using Tweak UI go the "General setting" and if the "Beep 
on errors" is not checked put a check nark in the box shown and that 
should enable the sound. I learn this many years ago and have not 
forgotten to do it,

Hello PCBUILD,

   I built this computer about a year ago and, until now, it's
   been working fine.

   A couple of weeks ago I shut down my computer as usual. The next
   morning Windows booted up as expected but with no sound. I've had no
   sound since.
