Hi all!

I have a client with a dead computer. The data is on a hard drive that seems
to have been burnt out. The people did make a tape backup of the important
(medical) program and data: On a Colorado (HP) Jumbo 350 tape (DC2120) drive
made with the included Colorado backup program.

The tape drive seems non-usable, though I am looking for an old Win95
machine to install it into - XP refuses to install it. So the thought was to
send the tape out to a data recovery outfit to get the data onto a CD. All
the places I have talked to want to charge an outrageous price to get the
data off the tape - read thousands of $. Does anyone know of an outfit that
will get the data off a good tape and throw it on a CD for a decent price -
US$500 or less?

Thanks for your time and thought on this.

Best,

Will Stephenson
