I just ran across some switch boxes the other day, at a place called
www.cables.cc (note, no endorsement here, I just happened to see them looking
for something else).  I don't know for sure that they'll do what you want, but
they're a start.  The only problem I can see with such a scheme is that the
switch has a physical location, i.e. you have to go to to where the switch is
located to change your location.  It could involve a lot of headache/walking
back & forth when a customer is waiting, and so on.
