My desktop at home crashed so I had to bring my laptop from work to use here.
At work, I had my monitor to shut off after 30 minutes of being idle. That
feature worked just fine at work. But here at home, for some reason, that
feature doesn't work. Will it hurt my laptop for my monitor to be on all the
time? I have a second phone line so when I connect to AOL, I just remain
there until I leave for work the next morning. What does my monitor and hard
disk need to be set on for the energy saving feature to kick in after 30
minutes to an hour of no activity. If it won't hurt laptop to be on all the
time, I won't worry about it. But if it will tend to burn out my monitor
sooner, I need to know what settings to use to fix this problem. Thanks so
much in advance.
