Hi John,

It has been my experiance to find an older/faster system and "jump ship". You'll need a boot disk, the OS from your old system, download'd drivers for your "new" system, and items taken from your old system (mainly the harddrive, modem, monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc.).
Install your old harddrive into your "new" system. On IDE1, make your old HD master and your new HD slave. Install and exchange any other hardware from the old system. Fire completed system up with your known good boot disk in place. Re-install OS at this point. When system "runs for first time" it may look for those drivers you downloaded earlier. With any luck you should be up and running with all your old data in tact and another HD for storage.
Heres a link to a source I have had great luck with in the past:

   Hope this helps,
   Michael

I've a Pentium MMX 200Mz, 4GB HD. A very old system. I would like to upgrade my system but don't have the budget to get the most advance system available now. I just need a system where I can do some word processing, data crunching, a lot of web surf, some downloading, and some chatting with webcam. I also would like to do some digital camera editing.
   Any advice would greatly appreciated.

   Sincerely your,

   John Loc.
