Hi, Bob.

May I suggest the Soltek SL-75DRV5 for your new Athlon
system? I just built a system around this board with an
Athlon XP 2100+ processor, and it flys! This board has
two major advances over the one you're considering. It
supports PC2700 DDR memory and also supports the Ultra
ATA 133 specification. My system has been up for
several weeks now, and it rock stable.

The onboard audio works fine. Your old floppy will work
okay if it's performing well now, but for $11, you may
consider a brand new one.

I also put in the Plextor CR-RW you're looking at --
another winner. It's available from an online computer
supply house I've used several times with great success
now for $135 and free shipping. The motherboard
described above is also there for $98 plus $8 S&H. No
tax is charged if you live outside California.

If you're interested in the site, email me off-list and
I'll give you the information. Hope this is helpful...
