I'm working on a Packard Bell Legend 416SX with a Segate 125Meg hard drive.
When I go to boot the computer it gives me the message "Diskette read
failure - Press F1 to retry or F2 for setup. The hard drive has stacker
running as a drive compressor. I got it to boot and then made a boot disk.
Now when I place the diskette in drive A it boots every time. Can anyone
tell me how to boot from C drive? The CMOS doesn't have the option of
booting from C or A so I'm assumming that it looks at A first then C by
default
The BIOS is Phoenix 80386 ROM Version 1.10.

Which is worse, to spend more than you expected or less than you should?
