Hi Michele
Well two out of two responses say don't flash unless you are having
trouble. And I'm not. Thank you Gary Aguiar

Subject: Re: [PCBUILD] Flash Bios Help

Hi,
Some might disagree with me, but this is my opinion. I wouldn't flash the
bios unless you really need to, especially if you're not completely sure how
to.Doing it wrong can cause your m/b to stop working altogether. (I know
that, because I did one once and made a mess! I have done a couple of
successful ones though)
If you still feel the need to go ahead with the flash (if you're getting
error messages or some other problems which a flash would cure?), then I
would go to the m/b manufacturerers site, where they should have the latest
version of the flash utility available for download. Also, there should be
instructions somewhere on the site.
Download the flash and put it on a floppy. (if its a zip file, don't forget
it has to be unzipped to floppy).
DO make sure you download the correct utility, there may be lots on the
site. It has to be the right one.
(I think that's where I may have gone wrong with my one disaster so far)
Also, make sure you DO NOT turn the computer off whilst attempting to flash
the bios, as I'm told this can also be disastrous. (beware of power failures
also)
Hope this helps

I would like some help. I read all emails and have learned allot. But now
have my own question. I was thinking of Flashing my bios to update it but
don't know if I need to or how to go about it. I will put as much info as I
can If more is needed please let me know.
